According to two unnamed US officials, two Chinese fishing vessels came "dangerously close" to the military sealift command ship USNS Victorious in the Yellow Sea off the coast of China last Friday. For several hours Victorious crew members had to spray fire hoses, shine lights, and sound its alarm at the Chinese vessels to keep them at bay. The incident has not been formally announced by the US government and video footage has not been released by the Pentagon.—posted by Catherine Ngo
